Salary Increase for -Medical Doctors- will lead to whole government pay scale being – Destabilized

In a country where economy has substantially deteriorated  & most professionals have opted to leave the country in search of better stable and promising future the mass immigration of medical doctors that belonging to the government medical officers association its no coincidence.

Rather as a measure or if not as tactic to curb medical doctors leaving the country the president as well as the government medical officers association (GMOA) has seems to have come up with up solution as their salaries alone will be increased substantially within the coming budget.

But we have to ask our selves just how practical and feasible is this ?

And most importantly how suitable  is this because medical doctors working within the government Healthcare system considered to be belonging to Executive Branch, so by increasing their salaries that implies salary increases for the executive branch’s medical doctors alone will inevitably, leads to other executive branches being denied the same salary increase as Sri Lankan government’s salary pay scale heavily depended on the rank and not on a specific profession it self.

So it is very  almost a careless decision by the government and by the health authorities to increase the salaries of the government doctors knowingly this move will inevitably do and will leads to the whole government pay scale being system being put under question by all the  rest of the government employee ranks.

And the only way to appease them is to Increase their salaries as well eventually.

Was this interesting?
