STERN Warning To Sri Lanka By India — Over CHINESE (Shi Yan 6)—Docking

Citing a report published on Hindustan Times, India has expressed the displeasure and raised concern over expected arrival and docking of a Chinese Peoples Liberations Army strategic research vessel SHI YAN 6 in deep sea Sri Lankan ports at Colombo and Hambanthota in coming October. SHI YAN 6 expected to be docked in the ports till November once arrive on October.

What had raised the concerns of the Indians for the remainder at Sri Lankan ports, Chinese vessel will not be welcoming any Sri Lankan personnel’s. And what’s been expected to be carried out with in the duration of the stay in Sri Lankan ports neither been revealed nor been acknowledged by the Chinese government and remains to be classified. And that’s what has concerned Delhi. Because Sri Lanka it self not been informed of what the chinses vessel’s Intentions are.

New Delhi has criticized Sri Lanka because a month ago Sri Lankan president in an official visit to India has assured it will not be participating activities that would compromise territorial security of India and would fully comply with any concerns Delhi has to offer but with this, permission given to the Chinese vessel by the Sri Lankan Government that assurance has been completely broken and tarnished.

The article quoted “how long will the Modi government will tolerate countries within subcontinent India imperious to India’s strategic interest the question is particularly pertinent to those countries with whom India has stood up for intake and this from humanitarian disasters waxing supply to economic support”

Another similar incidence taken place very recently last Friday 11th August when Chinese vessel docked at Colombo ports and the Indian government made the statement that it is closely monitoring what’s been taken place and anything will have an impact on strategic security of greater India.
