United States Conducts ICBM Test.

It has been reported that the United States Air Force, working together with the United States Space Force, has conducted a test launch of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile to demonstrate the strength and capability of the United States amid escalating tensions with North Korea.

The ICBM was fired from Vandenberg Space Force Base (https://www.vandenberg.spaceforce.mil/) In California and type of the missile said to be Minuteman III. Vandenberg Space Force Base issued a statement regarding the launch of the unarmed ICBM, stating it is to validate the safety, security, and readiness of the weapons system.

Senior military official of the US  armed forces Delta 30 vice commander Col. Bryan Titus stated “the Airmen and Guardians who perform this vital mission are some of the most skillfully trained and dedicated personnel in America’s Air Force,”

“These test launches demonstrate the readiness of U.S. nuclear forces and provide confidence in the lethality and effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear deterrent.”

Tuesday, the US national security advisor Jake Sullivan issued a stern warning to the North Korean leader regarding his upcoming meeting with the Russian leader.

He stated ” Scheduled meeting is not going to reflect well on North Korea and they will pay a price for this in the international community,”

“We will continue to call on North Korea to abide by its public commitments not to supply weapons to Russia that will end up killing Ukrainians.”

Furthermore US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby stated arms negotiations between the two U.S. adversaries were “actively advancing.”

Russia expects to receive artillery shells and anti-tank missiles from the North Koreans in exchange for advanced satellite and nuclear-powered submarine technology. North Korea will either be provided with such technology or will receive it, according to recent NY times reports.

Despite all international claims regarding the meeting between the two leaders, Russia has categorically denied that such a meeting will occur.

Regarding the United States’ launch of an unarmed ICBM test, many international observers characterized it as a warning to Russia. Especially considering the deployment of combat-ready ICBMS by the Russians as recently as last Friday.

Through the successful test of an intercontinental ballistic missile, the United States is sending the Russians an unequivocal message that if they intend to use their nuclear arsenal, the United States will be fully combat-ready and ready to respond.

However, according to some analysts, the demonstration of combat readiness of each nation’s nuclear arsenals to its nuclear forces is recklessly pushing the world towards a nuclear war. In the event of a miscalculation, escalation of the conflict could have catastrophic consequences for all parties involved.
