Diana Gamage “Sri Lanka should become a Leader (Cannabis) & (šŸ¤‘dope šŸ„µ) Production”

At in a media briefing held at presidential media center under the theme ‘Collective Path to a Stable Country.’ the flamboyant Sri Lankan parliamentarian Mrs Diana Gamage, has made the statement stating

“due to so many countries are engaged with Cannabis cultivation, so should we”

We the Sri Lanka’s as a habit of following in the foot steps of all the wrong things developed countries have engage with and ever since the ancestral time that’s what we being doing and this decision is no different.

She further stressed “there are more than 22 varieties of cannabis in Sri Lanka and numerous numbers of medicinal products that can be derived from hemp, presenting a significant opportunity for Sri Lanka to capitalize on its cultivation and exports. further more ā€œIt is essential to clarify that when discussing the cultivation of hemp (Cannabis), the focus is not on its use as an intoxicant. Cannabis, indeed, is classified as a drug, but it also has significant potential for medical and industrial purposes.

“There are lucrative investment prospects in producing medicines from hemp, which can yield substantial economic benefits for the country. A ten-acre hemp plantation alone has the potential to generate around US$ 200 million,ā€ she said.

DOPE MONEY IS FAR MORE LUCRATIVE

It is truly tragic that these politicians cannot figure out that’s so called such lucrative substance as Cannabis hasn’t been grown if not haven’t been allowed/permitted to be grown in majority of countries because they eventually leads to excessive consumption of Cannabis and related products which all classified as elicit drugs.

Effect on Younger generation & School children

It is no wonder that Miss Diana Gamma is totally unaware that within past couple of month, multiple surveys conducted within Sri Lanka, has revealed that there is a higher prevalence among school children to use Cannabis related substances.

It is truly ironic that without mentioning such incident is taking place among school children she went on to advocate commercial cultivation of Cannabis throughout Sri Lanka.

This also implies in a time and an age where due to drought food production by local to international farmers have substantially decreased, so if Sri Lankan farmers opted out from traditional food cultivation production to Cannabis production it will eventually have an adverse effect on the local food production and availability of food.

It is almost like saying that people will be encourage to consume Cannabis & related products due to their inability to afford food. and this reality is not funny. it ‘s real.

Also in the long run commercial cultivation of such elicit substances, as we seen throughout many countries do eventually leads to other substances becoming commercial cultivated. One of theĀ  best examples are Spain as well as Canada.

And eventually, availability of these substances leads the society to ease the legal boundary to access them. which drive that whole society towards mass drug use and addiction. Like in many western nations as been mentioned before.
