People Pleads to Government to Defense Officials —Not to Remove the Military Camp

According to an article published on Hirunews.lk has been reported that people residing near Military Base camp located at cutcoalom on point Pedro have pleaded and expressed their concerns  over defense ministry’s and government  decision to remove the military base camp located at the region due to a political and other decisions been taken place. Particularly pertaining to 13A Resolutions conditions (not yet officially implemented).

Military base camp belongs to 4th division of the singha regiment of Sri Lankan Army.

It’s been reported that nearby residence has got to know the military base were to be fully evacuated as a government and defense ministry decision but however residents has protested against the evacuation and the removal of the military base camp, fearing for their lives and their possessions as well as for the fear of rise in vigilantly activities to other anti social activities taking place.

It has further been reported people with in the region has signed a petition to be handed over to relevant authorities to make them aware of their concerns in regards to removal of the military base camp.
