Influx—Illegal Immigrants Could Destroy New York City.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has warned that unregulated mass immigration to the city may eventually lead to its collapse.

Speaking at an event in Manhattan City, Eric Adams stated that the city is becoming hopelessly inundated by immigrants from all over the world, and that the city is also facing a $12 billion financial deficits.

“Never in my life have I had a problem that I did not see an ending to – I don’t see an ending to this,” 

“This issue will destroy New York City.”

According to the mayor, New York City, the most populous city in the United States, is currently taking in over 10,000 migrants (vast the majority of them are illegals) for a month. It has been stated that the majority of those there come from South American countries, with a significant number also having a Russian speaking background.

Mayor Eric Adams added that “Every community in this city is going to be impacted“.

“We have a $12 billion deficit that we’re going to have to cut – every service in this city is going to be impacted. All of us.”

It is estimated that the city spent $1.5 billion on housing and services for migrants in the previous fiscal year, while receiving $140 million from the federal government.

Despite his repeated requests for assistance from fellow Democrats President Joe Biden and Governor Kathy Hochul, he presumably was unsuccessful. He states by granting them work permits, he hopes to alleviate at least a portion of the burden caused by immigrants to the city by at least by 8.8$ million.

However the mayor’s deputy for health and human services, Anne Williams-Isom argued that migrants were attracted to New York City’s right-to-shelter law, which she once referred to as “our little secret” but is now something “the entire world knows.”

According to the New York Times, approximately 60,000 illegal immigrants reside in New York City’s homeless shelters. And approximately 20,000 students are anticipated to attend public schools.

Almost all of the cities that have permitted if not almost welcomed these illegal immigrants are happened to be governed by democrats. And many Republicans have strongly accused President Biden of permitting these illegal immigrants to cross the border into the United States with little difficulty.

Uncomfortably, the Biden administration has pursued legal action against states such as Texas for creating barriers preventing illegal immigrants from entering Texas. They have argued that such actions violate federal government jurisdiction.

Surprisingly enough Adams once insisted that New York was a “sanctuary city” for illegal immigrants. In the April of this year Adam’s mayor’s office  announced immigrant Heritage week celebrating the arrival of 11,000 settlers to Ellis Island in 1907.
