UK Medical Field’s —Most Prolific Serial Murderer Nurse…(Lucy Letby)

In the United Kingdom a nurse named Lucy Letby, employed within the neonatal division of the Countess of Chester Hospital Found guilty of murdering 7  infants who were receiving treatments within the hospital. She was sentenced to Life in prison with no possibility of parole being granted.

The crime has shocked the United Kingdom to its core as well as the government funded health care establishment of the UK’s NHS because the crimes were committed inside an NHS funded Hospital. Despite being found guilty of seven infant deaths there were 6 additional infant deaths, where she hasn’t been charged with, and still has been investigated.

Out of the seven two children designated as babies L and M. And according to the evidence presented the nurse has attempted to kill both of these babies, Both of whom were only a day old. And within the incident it took Hospital staff almost 30 minutes to resuscitate a one child identified as Baby M. Medical experts  believe she has deliberately inserted air into the infant’s blood stream. While the other child identified as the boy L was poisoned by injecting excess amounts of insulin into the bloodstream. Tragically for the infant’s parents, facts regarding what had taken place hadn’t been revealed till 2 years had passed.

One of the consultant pediatricians worked within the same Hospital where Nurse Lucy Letby was working, doctor John Gibbs. Dr. Gibbs has raised concerns and suspicions about what has taken place. He commented “we the pediatricians were very concerned  that someone working within the unit is indeed harming these infants and the suspicion felt on Lucy Letby”. (someone working within the unit killing these babies). He further commented that “if the hospital management just sincerely listened to us, to the hospital’s pediatricians, Police could have been called in a lot earlier and this could have been prevented”.

Within the year around 2015 doctors started noticing within the neonatal unit death rate started to increase dramatically and upon further observations it was evident that nurse Lucy Letby was present at all the incidences occurring.

Concerned emergency hospital board management meetings were held. Additionally Hospital staff was informed of the findings. But nurse Lucy Letby was still authorized to work on the Neonatal unit despite the concerns being raised. These events were taking place in 2016.

Dr. Gibbs, further clarified “in June of 2016 there were a number of deaths in quick succession.” “We were expecting for these infants receiving treatment within the unit to be discharged home, but one after another these infants started losing lives. At that instance we all felt something drastic had to be done”. 

Upon these deaths, medical experts could not figure out what was causing these deaths. Suspicions were raised about nurse Lucy Letby, and as a result she was immediately given a transfer to a department unit involved with patient safety to do office desk jobs. But even after she was given a transfer it has taken 11 more months before the hospital management has decided upon calling a police investigation into the mysterious deaths  that occurred at the hospital.

It has been revealed disturbingly within those months, senior management within the hospital has attempted to re-transfer nurse Lucy Letby back into the Neonatal unit, but pediatricians to had others had raised their concerns and opposition but, however those concerns were  disregarded by the hospital management. At that time pediatricians had insisted Police should be notified and be involved in what’s been taking place. 

“Why has the Police still not been called by the hospital Management ?” Dr. Gibbs States circumstances behind this should be questioned by the senior management itself and they cannot answer.

Once police were called in, the investigation turned into a multiple murder investigation enquiry. After arresting Nurse Lucy Letby, Police had searched her house and found illegal Hospital records stuffed under her bed.  Some records included names of babies she had killed. Police suspects and speculates she had kept the medical records as a kind of  trophy of recollection. A characteristic only considered to be unique to mass serial murderous.

Police said on one of her phones, they have contacted them and found handwritten notes she had sent to a one baby girl’s parents that she had killed, she had signed as “Lots of love LUCY”.

And also one of her Diaries police had found names of victims on the dates they had passed away under her care.

Some notes where she had hand written carried the statement I am evil I did this.

There were no confessions for the Police by Lucy Letby regarding the crimes she had committed.

Within the end stages of her trials she has refused to appear in the court. Parents of many killed infants have pleaded for a full Public enquiry, particularly in regards to why the senior management within the hospital has taken so long to call in law enforcement authorities to help with the investigation ?

They ask how and why this was allowed to go on for so long. If the management has acted quickly this could have been prevented at the very beginning.

So far according to records for the duration of 12 months Lucy Letby had been set to have murdered 7 infants while she had also attempted to harm another 6. And out of those 6 almost all of them are left with permanent brain injuries which resulted in lifelong disability.

Police are stating many more medical records are still being investigated in relation to Infants treated under her care. And also Police is left with the puzzling dilemma of just exactly how many infants she may have harmed or killed  throughout her career as a nurse ?

As a result they will be looking into every admission of patient records being admitted to neonatal units while Lucy Letby was working as a nurse. Terrifying estimate said to be, around 4000 number of infants records to be investigated. And the Police will be looking into each single one. Because this is still an Ongoing Investigation. Nurse Lusy Letby was convicted after a 6 years long Police investigation been carried out.
